I didn't realize you were online and I updated my response to you while you were responding to me. If you care, basically go back and read the 1st paragraph. I added something on top of the original first paragraph.
I agree that it's hard to put a book down, even if I don't like it. The only one I've successfully done that with (and I keep telling myself it's only temporary) is How the World Works by Noam Chomsky. I definitely don't recommend it! The second time I tried it, I didn't even get as far as the 1st time. I don't know that I've gotten even 3 hrs in? Maybe not even 2? It's 12 hrs and 20 minutes of pure boredom for me. I keep thinking I can do it, but I keep being wrong. So far, that's the only book I've not been able to make it through, even when driving and running errands so I'm only mostly listening. I just can't do it. But I have faith that ONE day I'll get through it and I'll count it as a great day, celebrating like those who climb Mt. Everest. Or at least celebrating like those who do something else super horrible that took them 12 hrs and 20 minutes.
