Rach's Reading Club

Firstly, yes. As this book is over 500 pages long, you don't have to read any more to earn the merit badge. However, I will still credit all reviews you link, and I would be interested to know what you think of 'The Talisman.' I've only read one book from each of these authors. Peter Straub was a co-authored book, but I can't remember who with. I do remember not being too impressed, though. Stephen King, I only read 'The Outsider.' It was all right. I didn't see so much of the genius everyone tells me is ther3e, though. Maybe it was the wrong book to start with (but it was cheap on Amazon, so I bought I'd give it a go).

Anyway, 42 minutes for the first chapter! That's insane. The first chapter should be short and snappy and hook the reader right off the bat. Just my opinion, of course. But, there it is.
