The Contest Challenge

London said they were the largest fireworks display in Europe. They included drones, which was interesting. They had a giant ferris wheel (or I assume that's what it was) in the middle of their display, if that jogs any memories.

I'd just gotten in from all the drama at Bleaker Island, so while it was a bit awkward since I'd just arrived, it was better than being there. I didn't get along well with one of the people who worked there and, TBH, there's just not THAT much to do on an island that has no shops, almost no internet (almost $13 for less than 90 minutes), no restaurants, etc. for 2 1/2 weeks.

The family is nice. It's a dad and teen daughter. She's quiet and not the moody teen you expect. lol He colored my hair for me, which was awesome! Though, as one person put it, "When a straight man offers to color your hair for you when you're not even discussing all the gray showing, you should DEFINITELY get it colored." I agree! Then I saw some other folks I'd stayed with previously (in their place, but not with them) and they said my hair looked great! Apparently, I looked more of a mess than I realized.
