Shadows and Light Poetry Contest

Okay, I wasn't sure where to send my Muse for this contest,

I mean... "Joey, write a poem."

"About what?" I say.

About anything your rules display.

So, I asked my muse for a small poem. But she resisted my queries, making suggestions dark and blurry. In frustration, I lashed out, plucking a large feather from her tail...she yelled and demanded I send her off for medical remediations. While awaiting her feather replacement surgery, I was reminded of this piece "Proof of Grace or Something Else?" . To my surprise, my muse's idea was to fashion a poetic response from the young woman in the story. So That is what I did!

I know that this item has more rhyme than most free verse poems, but the rules do not say free verse can't have some rhymes.
