What ever can go wrong will go wrong. Never think it won't happen. Because it can and will, and usually at the same time.
So, this happened this summer to me:
accident with car in May - borrowed truck - getting into truck, tore meniscus in my knee - still don't have our new car (getting upgrades) - borrowed truck has to be returned Nov 1 - have to find another vehicle to borrow - grandson went missing for months in the military - good friend died suddenly - had to have knee surgery -
These troubles are not listed to make you feel sorry for me. Just to let writers know that things happen all the time. And a story can have problems happen to characters for plot twists. They add drama. And tension. Boy, oh boy, do they ever add tension.
