In the summer's heat, beneath the sky so blue,
A nation was born, a dream made anew.
July the fourth, in seventeen seventy-six,
A day of independence, in liberty's mix.

The Founding Fathers gathered, with minds ablaze,
To sever the chains, to forge a new phase.
In Philadelphia's hall, where freedom's voice rang,
They drafted a document, in eloquence sang.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident," they wrote,
That all are created equal, with rights remote.
Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, they declared,
A foundation so strong, the nation's burden shared.

The ink kissed the parchment, and history was made,
A declaration of freedom, that would never fade.
United they stood, in the face of adversity,
United they fought, for justice and diversity.

The fire of revolution burned in their hearts,
They battled for ideals, they played their parts.
From the cries of revolution, a nation arose,
United in purpose, from its head to its toes.

But the journey was long, the road filled with strife,
As battles were fought, claiming precious life.
Yet the spirit endured, undeterred by the pain,
For liberty's call was an eternal refrain.

On each July the Fourth, we gather and remember,
The sacrifice made, the embers still ember.
We celebrate the birth of a nation so grand,
Where freedom's flame burns bright across the land.

So raise the flag high, let the fireworks ignite,
In honor of those who fought for what is right.
July the Fourth, a day forever revered,
A reminder that freedom's price is never cleared.

In the echoes of history, their voices still chime,
The vision they had, through the passage of time.
On this sacred day, we reflect and we cherish,
The legacy they left, a nation destined to flourish.
