Okay, so as I'm trying to come up with story ideas involving hippoblahblahphobia, they are SOOOOO not scary. Even when my protag is a long word-phobic librarian getting really long words tattooed down her arms. Might have to ditch that part.
And as scary as judging is to me, I'm somehow doubting that it's going to instill fear in the hearts of my loyal readers... er, well, reader (contests guarantee at least one poor soul will be stuck reading this thing ).
So I might just have to stick with the original prompts and not try to get too cute, lest I crank out yet another mildly amusing yet wholly unscary story. By the way, does this mean I'm maturing as a writer? If so, that would be sweet!
