April-The Invisible Detective (series) by Justin Richards
As a Whovian, I thought this four book set was awesome (the author wrote many David Tenant and Matt Smith Doctor Who episodes)! It is a delightful conbanation of a boy reading about the past adventures of the Invisible Detective in his diary, except the past and present become blurred the more he reads. Just like Doctor Who, expect a lot of time mischief!
