Unfortunately, I tend to feel the same way as this for a lot of the awarded novels. But I know people rave about them, so I always assume I'm missing something (like, the point of them). But I keep trying more awarded books, thinking I must enjoy this one. That's why I set this theme for one month. I think, personally, I just don't enjoy literary fiction so much. I prefer more action.
It's a shame you didn't enjoy this. Hopefully, for your next one, you will find one that you do enjoy. Don't forget, it can be any prize the books have won. It doesn't have to be a big one, like the Pulitzer. Also, I am happy for you to read a book by someone who has previously won award, but not for the book you are reading. So, the person is a winner but not the book. If that helps.
