I love his book. It's one of those that you can just fall into when you're having a bad day and it cheers you up.
You said you watched the film version with Keira Knightley. Does that mean you've never seen Colin Firth as Mr Darcy? Ohh ... I think you need to. When he comes, wet, out of the lake is one of the best things I've ever seen on TV. Apparently, when Helen Fielding wrote "Bridget Jones's Diary," she had Colin Firth in mind when she wrote Mark Darcy's character. That's why she gave him the same surname.
But I digress. Thank you for a top-notch review. I'm glad you enjoyed this fabulous book.
