Thanks for posting your first review. Great choice of book! I'm always more than happy to sit down and read a little Austen . The language used got in the way for me at first. It is a bit stuffy and old at times, especially in speech. But It's definitely worth pushing that to the back of your mind and just letting the lovely story wash over you.
I love the film version of this. Emma Thompson is a genius. I love that woman. And, Alan Rickman as Colonel Brandon is just dreamy, isn't he? I didn't warm to Brandon as much in the book. That was probably my one disappointment.
