People that write about the modern west, especially my favorite place, Montana, often are mistaken about what is actually out here. They write about romantic places full of beautiful mountains and trees and rivers. Perhaps, but the majority of the state is wide open country full of grass and sky. Blizzards and droughts. Neverending wind with 108Ā° in summer and -40Ā° in winter.
