That's ironic. šŸ˜‚ One of the tropes the blogger advises against is dragging out a story arc and taking too long to resolve it (mostly for the purpose of making it longer or lining it up with another story arc) because that would be boring, but you don't know that because the author dragged the article on too long and bored you.

I'm not sure"tropes" is the right word for the article, in any case. A trope is just something you see all the time in storytelling, like a figure of speech or literary device. If it's done a lot, it's probably a trope.
