That might actually be kinda funny. Will recruits Coach Tesla as a minion, Will gets Tesla to force her golem to give all disposable income to him in exchange for a new life, and Tesla makes the cheerleader squad miserable because the lack of available income means the golem can’t afford to drink herself to death anymore. No clue about the morality of Cindy’s mom, but I doubt Chelsea’s mom is gonna be ok with Chelsea being a golem. And she’s kinda too dangerous to release atm. So it might take some doing for Chelsea’s mom to work with Will, although I could actually see her replacing somebody on the squad to both support her daughter and get back in the middle of the high school drama. We haven’t seen enough of Cindy’s mom to see what she might do in that situation, so I’m not sure where that might go. Will’s mom would be interesting because she’s easily the least developed of Will’s family, so it would be very interesting to learn more about her aside from being stated to be a pretty housewife. Something Seuzz had included in a chapter kinda intrigued me earlier, about Will thinking that maybe his mom used to be part of the popular clique when she was in high school. Reinforces again just how little we know about her. So having her find a mask Will hands off to his golem to polish could be an interesting way to segue into exploring her more. She seems happy with her life, but she does have the blood of the Shabblemans flowing through her veins, so maybe she could be susceptible to the lure of magic. Also, this is a tangent, but it’s something I’ve been thinking for a while and I wanted to bring it up because it amuses me. I always find it really funny that Will calls his dad a hardass because of his curfew, and Seuzz, I don’t know if you mean for that to actually be the case, but ngl, I don’t really see that at all. An 11 pm curfew actually seems fairly generous for school nights. It’s a little tight on weekends, but I don’t really think it’s all that unreasonable either. Which I think is kinda shown by the fact that as far as I recall, Will usually only really chafes against it when he’s about to do something that his curfew is kinda designed to prevent, like him wanting to go party at the warehouse. I can’t help but feel like if Harris was as much as a hardass as Will claimed he was, he wouldn’t get away with nearly as much shit has he does. Will certainly thinks his dad is a hardass, but he just seems like a reasonable parent to me. Typical teenager attitude I suppose. This isn’t really relevant to anything, I just thought since I was talking about Will’s mom, this was as good a time as any time bring it up. |
