If Will, a high school kid who lives at home, wants to replace key people at school, he's going to need a few things: 1) Location This has to be a place he can use the masks to copy and replace people with reasonable certainty of not being caught. While Chelsea's bedroom may have worked fine for her and Kim, it can't be used as a base of operation. He can't move in and out of there freely and he can't store his supplies there. For those reasons, the next person Will should target is a faculty member at Westside. 2) Influence The easiest candidate to turn into the first doppelganger would be Coach Tesla since Chelsea has easy access to her. Most of the main players at Westside have ties to sports and using the coaches to isolate them in order to replace them would be ideal. After replacing Coach Tesla, Will should move to replace Coach Gellman (the boys soccer coach) because of Will's next hurdle. 3) Money Will is a high school kid with no income so he is going to need to fund his operation in a way that can't be traced back to him or anyone else. Enter Will's next target, Gary Chen. Gary has been involved in many different chapters but his main purpose here is to be the bank roll for Will's supplies. At this point, Will would have Chelsea, Kim, Coach Tesla, Coach Gellman, and Gary Chen under his control. For the fourth doppelganger, I think Will replaces Almida Jones. I know she's a character who hasn't been featured in any chapters yet but she is the captain of the girls basketball team so she would be easy to acquire through Coach Tesla. Being the captain, she will have influence over a certain group of students and one of those students is Stephanie Wyatt. And since Will is very intimidated by Stephanie, I'm guessing he will conclude Almida must be someone worth having on his team. |
