I definitely see where you're coming from, but it’s actually for those exact reasons that I think Jelena makes a more valuable impersonation to give to another person. She's very attractive as an impersonation without being a cutthroat alpha type. If you put a weak person in her role, they'll be able to accomplish something without actually being a threat because her mask's influence wouldn't incline them to go rogue. She's a lot more of an attractive impersonation than Charles, and a lot more of a useful impersonation than Andrea. I definitely would want to use her influence, but I think she's a safe option to use more indirectly. I'd definitely make the argument that Charles himself is worth replacing. The simplest reason is that he comes from a wealthy family, which is I think is a factor worth considering. He also has a lot of control over the school's rumor mill, and at least part of the reason I'd want him under control is to stop him from saying things as much as it is to say certain things. I value Charles for influence over information moreso than I do any influence over people, though that influence over people is also an important factor to me. I mostly agree about Andrea, though I do think that at least part of the reason why trying to shoehorn Will into Andrea's set didn't work is because of how heavy-handed Will was going about it, both with letting Hartlein think they had just had sex and questioning Fatima in a very blunt and awkward way. Especially in the route where Will replaced Chen and put Thomason in Andrea's place, the whole scheme for Andrea to make weed "cool" in her group didn't really seem to work, and Will had to replace Jelena, Fatima, and Sienna too. I think Andrea has incredible potential to be influential, it's just that she doesn't have practice at it, or the inclination to learn how to use influence to move people. In regards to Karl, I'm basing what I said about him on what Seuzz said in "The Trouble with Karl" . As far as Will/Fatima perceives it, Karl seems to be the dominant personality in the writing subsection of the bohemian crowd. I also like Sienna, but yeah, she was never really in consideration for this kind of thing. I think Fatima is good for the hiding in plain sight thing, but I don't think she'd be very useful to exercise influence through. I definitely acknowledge that she has potential, but she'd require more work to be useful in taking over the Bohemian group than Hartlein or Hennepin in my opinion. Also, in regards to Jenny, I think she's definitely useful, though I don't think she'd be in my own top 10. She's very well connected indeed, but she's not a gossip in the way somebody like Charles is, so while she's hooked into the flow of information through the school, but I don't think she's in a very good position to control it, which I find very valuable. I feel that Kim fills the roll of information gatherer in a way that makes Jenny a bit redundant because if she doesn't know something, she probably knows how to find out who does. I also get the impression that at least part of the reason that Jenny is so well connected is because she isn't the manipulative type. Her friends confide in her because she's not going to use that information for anything. Though she'd also be really good as the hiding in plain sight disguise. |
