Okay, this sounds like you enjoyed this book. I've never read any N.K. Jemisin. I'm not sure she's my cup of tea. This isn't really a genre I read a lot.
Epic is a good suggestion. What do you think would qualify a book as epic? Does it have to be fantasy/SciFi? Or, is it about the length of the book? Hmm. I must look it up.
