She's a popular author. My library has several of her books that are always checked out. I usually have to place a hold when I want to read one. This novel is somewhat like The Grapes of Wrath and yes, it is a sad story. I'm reading I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb for the May entry. I'll get it posted as soon as I'm done.
