Rach's Reading Club

Thanks for the review. I haven't read this novel. It's on my list, but I think I might just bump it down a few places after reading this. I struggle with books from this era, I have to be honest. The long descriptions and lack of action can be a little boring for my taste. Also, I can't help but note how the writing breaks just about every rule we are told to use today. I get that it was a different time, and that things evolve, but I do struggle sometimes. That said, people like Dickens usually (not always) keep me entertained with their wit.
