If you search Reviewing on this site you'll find countless articles and statics about reviewing. But your best bet is to check out

You can also take a look at how people are reviewing by clicking on Reviewers (left hand Menu bar below Community and Authors). That will show you all the recent reviews and you can see how people go about it! Everyone is different, but my advice would be: write a review for someone that you'd like to receive yourself.
