You would get more out of the exercise if you focused on one 'world'. There isn't actually a rule about it though.
The rules clarification post explains your 'world' might be as small as a single city or a high school. A whole world is really made of many smaller 'worlds' - like to me America or Italy are a 'worlds of their own'.
So maybe you hop around different parts of the same world or many different worlds. I think that will be harder for you, but you are welcome to try.
