I have read the four books in Madeleine L'Engle's "Trilogy" many times and will be delighted to read A Wrinkle In Time again and write a product review for it. (Note: The series used to be referred to as a trilogy even after she wrote the fourth book in the series. I think they did finally start calling it a quintet. )
For Nano Wrimo 2014, I wrote a rudimentary review. I have copy and pasted it here in the spirit of openness.
If I am successful in reading and reviewing it in September, you will be able to see a stark difference when compared to my earlier review:
Summary of this Book...
A Wrinkle in Time
NOTE: This review is a WORK IN PROGRESS. Please see the comment section below so you will understand why this section may have typos and such at this time.
A wrinkle in time is called a tessaract. Meg's dad used the tessaract and vanished, lost somewhere in time.
Three witches help Meg, Charles Wallace and Calvin to find Meg's dad and gives them gifts to help them.
We get to meet the happy medium. A disembodied brain rules the planet where Meg's dad is being held prisoner.
Meg has to come to terms with the reality that her dad is only human and doesn't have all the answers.
We see the darkness, the evil and again we get to see good overcome evil so we see both a happy medium and a happy ending!
Further Comments...
Today is the last Friday in November. I am writing this and other product reviews as a part of my project for Nano Wrimo this year. I am very behind and so will be writing these as fast as possible in his of winning again this year. For those who do not know, this means writing fifty thousand words during the month of November.
My hope is to reach the magic number and then return after the month is over to refine this and the other product reviews.
