It occurred to me today that structured poetry often consists of 4 line verses. Would it be more appropriate for the short poem category to allow up to 16 lines (4 verses)? And the medium length category to allow 17 to 32 lines (8 verses)?

To continue that line of thought, perhaps the long poem category could allow 33 to 64 lines. And then a new epic poem category could be created for poetry of more than 64 lines.

Full disclosure: I usually compose in 4 line verses, and I've written structured poems of all suggested lengths this year.
