Re: A Jump Toward Life
It's great to see you back again! Don't be such a stranger! *Hug* Though you can work as fast or slow as you want, so I guess you can be a stranger. *Laugh*

Just a couple of notes about posting your entry. The title of your forum post should be the title of your contest, not the title of your item. I request that because I like to try to get every contest at least 5 entries. With the contest title in the forum title, I can easily scroll through the forum and see how many people have entered each contest without opening each post. Then I can advertise for entries for anything being ignored. *Wink*

Also, for the body, I don't need the title of the contest because it's in the forum post title and I don't need the month and year unless it's not the current month and year. If you are doing a catch-up entry, PLEASE include the month and year you are catching up on, preferably in the forum post title along with the contest title. *Bigsmile*

Also, you posted your bitem link wrong. I think it will work if you make that # into a colon. But ultimately, I don't want a link to your actual item. I want a link to your post in the contest's forum to prove you actually entered. *Wink* Posting a link to your item only proves you wrote something. It doesn't prove you wrote it for a contest being highlighted that month or that you actually entered. It happens that occasionally people write for the contest, but actually forget to post their entry in the contest forum so they actually entered. *Laugh* Anyway, posting a link to the forum post in the contest forum shows me you actually entered and that you entered the right contest (because that is sometimes a problem as well *Confused*) and if I want to see your item for some reason, I can just click through the link on the contest forum to read your actual item. I link to the post where you entered the contest gives me everything I need in one link. *Bigsmile*

You post a link proving you entered the contest with {post:XXXXXXX}. After the colon, the last several forum posts you've made will automatically pop up (or they should) so it's best to post it before making too many other forum posts. *Wink* If it doesn't automatically pop up (it can sometimes take several seconds if you have slow internet), you can find the post number on the original post in the contest's forum. So, for example, if I wanted to post a link to your post here, I'd see that number on the upper right corner of your post, below the date, and would post the link to this post with {post:3417759} and "A Jump Toward Life"  Open in new Window. would appear like magic. *Bigsmile*

If you forget how to post for the challenge, I have examples set just above the forum to help remind folks, though I'm not sure how much it helps. People are constantly posting 'wrong.' *Laugh* But don't worry. The challenge is to enter the contest, not post correctly, so I gave you credit. *Wink* I once had a participant who managed to post wrong for 12 consecutive months. *Shock* I gave her credit for all 12 months, but tried to correct her each month. Apparently, some folks take instruction better than others. *Laugh*

Anyway, all that aside, great job coming back and no worries about posting incorrectly, though if you look at your post above, you can see that the link to your item didn't even appear correctly, though I wanted the link to your post anyway. *Laugh* Whatever. You came back and you got credit. *Bigsmile* I hope to see you again, preferably sooner than 5 months this time. *Rolling* BTW, you can catch up on the last several months, if you'd like. Or you can just start over from this month, whatever you prefer. To "win," you just need 12 consecutive months, however you choose to do them. But working on the months between November and now would be something you could do now, if you had the time and interest. Working forward requires you to wait one month at a time. It's up to you and your schedule. Officially, you can even work on all of 2020 back to May 2020 and be done before May 2021, if you have the time and interest to do so. *Bigsmile* Your choice. Enjoy the challenge at whatever rate you choose to take it! *Hug* WELCOME BACK!

And be sure to check out my challenge

This irregular contest will change each round. Nature poem? Horror story? Whatever.

Technically, they aren't supposed to be called that, but everyone does. They're "ID tags"
