A Terrifying Contest Of Horror And Three Time Quill Award Winner! |
Good creepy day to you all! I am fortunate enough to have the privilege to have a room away from most of my home to write in peace. However, I’ve needed time to get used to how quiet it can get here, especially now that it’s so cold outside and the neighbors have retreated from their lawn care activities. During the warmer seasons, I’ve spotted a plethora of little, precious critters running past the fence. Squirrels, chipmunks, a couple of stray cats, even a woodpecker! But now it’s practically silent outside. The only time I hear something out there is at night, when I can’t see what creeps past my window. I tell myself that the crunching of leaves must be done by a muskrat. Though, sometimes I wonder if it were a man, would the sound be any different. Unfortunately, it seems we’ve got a bust. It’s been rather wild up until this point, been meaning to get my claws dirty from all the fun. Hulls is on her own today, though, I think her creepy harlequin will keep our hearts pounding until tomorrow. Tomorrow’s Prompts! Werewolves! (It’s been some time!) OR A university instructor who couldn’t stop thinking about a student. You have up to 1,500 words and until the strike of 12:00 pm tomorrow (WdC time) to drum up the madness that will shock and awe! P.S. I’ve been toying around with prompts, so you might be given a little extra incentive to check out next Sunday’s SCREAMS!!! broadcast. Nothing crazy, just out of my norm when it comes to prompts. But, whatever you do, don’t look up or down. You’re already in the SCREAMS!!! web! |
