Shhh! Don't tell anyone, but here's the prompt for tomorrow's contest: it's

W-I-D-E O-P-E-N.


That's right: Give us a story you didn't quite finish in time, or that came in a bit overlength, or that came to you spontaneously, without benefit of a prompt. Just for tomorrow, the length limit is extended to 2,000 words, and entries need not have been written specifically for tomorrow's contest.

Each entry will receive a nice little GP bonus and a review from me,
