When a contest is dormant, if it's something you'd like to enter, contact the owner and see if they are willing/planning to open it next month. Sometimes just someone expressing interest in a contest causes it to reopen and it makes the owner happy as well. But if they aren't/can't or they don't answer, a substitute of similar length and preferably prose for prose or poetry for poetry would be great, but more importantly, if you see 2 contests and 1 doesn't get much attention, but the other gets lots, then enter the one mostly ignored, even if it's not the same type of contest. And you can always enter something longer than the initial contests, but you can't (without special permission) enter something shorter in place of a long contest. Make sense?
As for your records vs. mine, apparently I recorded things for this month that you intended for other months. No worries. You aren't saying you did a bunch of entries I don't think you did. Likely the confusion came when you were doing contests that were really short to replace contests in months that didn't have really short contests. But whatever. I've made mine agree with yours and we'll just carry on forward.
