Emily Dickinson comes to mind. She didn't leave her house for over twenty years. I rather appreciate your approach. Better than the drama soap operas everyone feels the need to post on twitter, Facebook and such.
I post a lot on my Blog about what happens in my life. But it is usually about the innocent goings on in the life of a retired person. The real me is someone only my family knows. And that is I think the way it should stay. I also interact on Facebook, mainly because my family is so far away. But again, mainly innocent postings and sharings. My hubby won't even post on social media.
If you do get a book deal, you would need to work with your agent and such about book signings. But having never done that who knows how all that works.
Who knows, being mysterious may be a brand builder!
