I have watched too many "friendships" fall apart of late merely because of a difference in politics or religion. I'd rather keep my views to myself (when I know they're not shared by the other) rather than risk the relationship over such a personal matter. On occasion I might mention religion but only when asked but I keep silent on politics. As a good friend of mine loved to say, it's a matter of you go your way and I'll go the right one. Being right is so important these days, it seems.

As for me, I live in Danvers, Massachusetts, and arrived there from Oklahoma fourteen years ago. Before that, I was in Coventry, England, the city of my birth. And I grew up in southern Africa. So I'm a bit of a mixture of experiences.
