> What if the Arnholm brothers fiddled with the Libra?

TBH, I don't see them investigating it deeply enough to even notice there's something funky about it. Someone at the store certainly looked at it closely enough to determine it should be worth a couple of hundred dollars, but then they just stuck a price in it and put it on the shelf.

> Do the nails become removable if the person who crafted them died?

I have no idea. It could only be answered in the story, and the answer would be dictated by what would be best for the plot.

> What would happen if you put a blank mask on somebody to copy them, and then used a nail to keep that blank mask on their face

Again, I'm not sure.

Although now that I try to think through it, it occurs to me that the nail might only be usable with Libra items: masks, mind bands, anima bands, etc. Otherwise you have to ask questions like, What if you pounded one of those nails, all by itself, directly into someone's forehead? It vanishes, along with the masks, bands, etc., when you pound one of them in. But would it just disappear, without pinning anything in place, if you used it by itself, or with an ordinary piece of metal or wood, to attach it? I'm inclined to think that such a case would be no different -- and no less fatal -- than pounding a regular nail into someone. In which case, there's a good chance it would only act as a nail and not a lock.

Sigh. And now someone's going to ask "What happens if you use one of those things to nail a mask to the Libra?"
