And this is why imaj didn't want to touch Maria's last name. ;) I gambled with that convention and format (for Maria and Carlos) because I thought I had a back-up position in case it was unusual or I was mistaken. According to Wikipedia (yes, I know, I know), "In the sixteenth century the Spanish adopted the copulative conjunction y ('and') to distinguish a person's surnames." The Libra, when copying minds, tends to reach deep into genealogy when inscribing the names onto the mens. So, for instance, when Joe Durras's name appears on one, it is his birth name and it appears in a Germanic Gothic script. So, even if Maria's birth name is only "Vasquez", the Libra is using a historical convention on her mens, as it does with Joe. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :p |
