First post from a newbie
Hi all,

I'm very excited to be joining the Writing.com community! I've been writing privately for a long time, starting with swapping hand-written fanfiction notebooks with my friends in middle school. My main interests are personal essays and fantasy fiction. I have been working on an idea for a fantasy novel series for the past five years and am finally at the point where I can start writing chapters.

I was an English major in college and then got a Master's degree in library science, so I have spent most of my life wading through books in one way or another. Some of my favorite books are The Master and Margarita, Dune, Pride & Prejudice, and Brave New World.

I'm very new to the world of posting my work for feedback but I know it's a crucial part of the process. I'm hoping to become a full-time writer - it's what I've always wanted to be and never given myself permission to attempt until now. The dream is to hold a published copy of my book and know that it's real. Here's to learning!
