Tournament 5 - The Curse
-| The Prompt |-

Genre: Fantasy

A curse has been laid upon the land. It has led every person, be they man, woman or child, to be locked inside their minds, experiencing their worst fears. Production and economy has ground to a halt as people cower and grieve over scenes that play out in their minds. There are only a handful of beings that show some level of resistance to the curse, and you are one. You know that you must find the source and remove the curse.

-| Information |-

Characters can be human or non-human. Entirely over to you!

You should submit both a character reference (any length) and an introductory story (up to 2,000 words). Your introductory story should explain your character's reactions to the scenes around them, and their realisation that they must make an effort to lift the curse. Your story should include some level of planning and preparation (where are they going to start?), but without your character actually departing on their quest just yet.

You will receive another part of the prompt each round.

How many rounds there will be depends on how many entries we get. The deadline for auditions is 11:59pm WDC time, July 31.
