Noticing Newbies

A quick way to find Contests is to use the Search Box in the top of the left column.

Click in the Search box to open options, then click the radio dot for "All of Writing.Com"

In the left "Any Genre" drop down, select Contests. In the right, change it to "Forums." Forums are where contest info and posts are made.

Then click on the search magnifier icon in the Search box.

It defaults to "Most Viewed," but that doesn't mean all are currently open except the first: The Writers Cramp. It's a daily prompt-based contest. By highlighting each one, it will show how long ago it was updated. You can see if it's current (within the past few weeks) or months or years back which probably means it isn't running right now.

EASIER: Right above the The Writer's Cramp graphic is a drop down that you can change to "Recently Modified First" then click the magnifier icon beside it. The contests should now be in order of ones currently running.

NOTE:   Make sure to thoroughly read the rules for each, then double check before you submit.
