It's a concoction my mother created to feed a family of nine. Cook up hamburger and chopped onion. Add fresh or frozen vegetables (traditionally, sliced carrots) when meat is half browned. Add water or beef broth and simmer until vegetables are tender. If needed, add water. Stir in enough flour to make a gravy and serve over mashed boiled potatoes.
