Very quick post just to say that the current arc I’ve been working on is reaching the point of the unknown and thought I’d see how it has been received.
I was inspired by a TV show I saw recently to ask a question: what if the book landed in the hands of someone not capable of wielding it properly? Hence dragging Will into the world of a character who is so excited about using the book she doesn’t pause to even read the spells and leaps to often erroneous conclusions. It is designed to see whether Will takes advantage of this, or becomes a protector, or abandons his new cohort altogether. It could any way.
I have another two chapters ready to go, after which I could continue or go back to one of the more horror-themed lines, such as betraying his friends to side with Blackwell, or replacing a newlywed... which would be a choice that puts Will in very deadly peril.
