Unlimited Storage for all within reason

Hi Team,

Being to the point, storage is cheep. You can get laptops with terabyte SSDs. As a free tier user you can post 10 static items up to 50KB. That's less than half a MB.

AWS S3 bucket for one month $0.023 per GB for upto 50 Terabytes. So for 5TB in a month $115. A Postrgresql db.m5.large per hour $0.178 so for a month that would be, $132.44. These are sub-optimal values but for 1GB in an S3 bucket you get roughly 2097 free tier users static items storage.

At the time of writing the reported members online is: 958. Imagine they're all on free tier at that limit, that's less than half a GB. Due to the age of this site and variety of content hosted, I would estimate you could host this web site (purely on the basis of submitted items) on some load balanced 250GB Iphones.

The whole charging structure of WDC is fixed around the storage limits, this archaic and should be removed. The selling point of WDC is its community this is what should be leveraged in marketing material and the different tiers. Sure you can break out embedded You Tube or LBRY or Nebula or another video sharing site and Images as well as other features.

Additionally by extension the concept of organising content is also pertinent. The ability organise content in an intuitive and efficient fashion is very important too.

Please accept that this being stated as opinion (and a bit of guess work).

All the best,

Drake.

P.s. If you were hosting this web site on Iphones then that would be both impressive and disturbing.
