I grew up in a small town, and our family lived on a circle street. There were about 15 houses on the street, and each family had 2, 3, or 4 kids. Most afternoons or evenings, we kids would get together in the circle to play kickball. There were lots of us on each side, with children of varying ages. Every time we played, team members changed, so it was quite a teaberry shuffle! We had such fun, and once we started a game, no one wanted to stop. Parents would begin to call kids to supper around dark, so we would close it down until the next day.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
