Early this morning (yes, I should be sleeping) I have the freedom to get up and wrestle with irrigating or sleep in. One offers momentary (and much-needed pleasure) while the other is a pain in the neck resulting in garden and lawn not shriveling up.
On the subject of freedom or safety, where does duty lie? <sigh> the answer is in the deed and power to sustain it. Safety, in this case, means lying in bed snoozing blissfully away but in the larger sense catastrophy when I wake up later.
Freedom and safety are handmaidens, one holding the other in a balancing act. Only the resulting action and result determines the best choice.
