There was an issue with contests being removed from the plug page because they were allowing other types of entries. I'm not sure if book entries were allowed before or not, but I know direct forum posts weren't because that is why some contests were told they were activities, not a contest. Yes, you can run it however you want, but no one looks on the Activities page for a contest.

We got permission to allow direct forum post entries in the case of free and basic users who are short on space, so that seems good enough. I think the contests that were removed have all been reinstated...or at least allowed to be. Whether they have resubmitted their ad or not, I'm not sure, but I feel better.
