Sharing an item with a named person or persons

On the edit page of items, you are allowed to restrict the sharing of said items to groups or to membership types only. Would it be possible to add a function where you can share an item to a named user as well? E.G. have a box labelled - Restrict Access Based on User Name:

This would be so helpful for novelists wanting to share their Book/MS with beta readers without having to set up a group.
