WDC's Longest Running Blog Competition - Hiatus |
Hello Bloggers! February is coming to a close (I hope it's been a fun one for you!), but that can only mean one thing: the 30DBC is back for another Official Round in March! A few new things to make note of: Reflected in the forum, please take note of the rule about when to post your entries that has been edited to read: "You should post your blog entry responding to the prompt between midnight and midnight WDC time on the day it is due (timeliness is a factor in judging). Please try to avoid posting early. Late entries will be accepted, but please note your score for that day may be lower." I have renewed our Item Alias! Now you can just type: {item:30DBC} to link to this forum! And the usual reminders: Posting Prompts: I will post the official prompts between 10pm and 11pm WDC time here in the forum the night before the day they are due. I will also email all official prompts to "Current Competitors" in the "30-Day Bloggers Group" (level 9 and above). Look for the prompts pinned to the top of the forum with a title like this: "PROMPT March ##." Submitting your entries: To submit your entry to be judged, write a post in the forum with a link to your blog entry using the {entry:######} format. Entries that are not posted in the forum, will not be judged. Note that the timestamp of your entry is based on when you post here in the forum, not on when the blog entry is originally entered/edited. Judging: Sum1's Home and I will be your judges. All entries will be graded based on the below categories. Please note that Commenting on your fellow competitors' blogs is not optional. To receive top marks in the commenting category, you need to post at least ONE thoughtful comment per day on any of your fellow competitors' blogs. You do not need to notify the judges when you comment - we will be watching closely. If you have questions on this, please ask. Judging categories: Following the Prompt Timeliness** Engaging/Entertaining/Original Emotional Personal Grammar Style/Presentation Commenting ** If you post your entry late, it will be judged as normal in all other categories besides "timeliness," where it will receive a reduced score. Therefore, it is still in your best interest to answer all prompts, even if you post late. I'm looking forward to another great month! Please post your intent to compete in the March Official round with a "bitem" link to your blog item (so I can easily copy the ID number ) -Emily Blog On!
