Greetings one and all! I'm not new to writing, I'm just new to writing.com and creative writing. In a previous life, I spent a lot of time writing speeches, but there's a big difference between that and creative writing. For years, I've had a burning desire to write but just never had the nerve to jump in and get started. I have ideas. Yet, every time I sit at the keyboard I stop short. I've made it so far as to type the first sentence, only to delete it out of fear that I was doing it all wrong.
So, here I am. I'll do my best to participate, nervously. I could use any advice on how to just get started. I don't care so much about being published (maybe in the future). For now, I want to get past the blank page nerves. I can see the story in my brain.
