Come yarn me a tale about a flawed character! |
Four great entries! I enjoyed reading each of them!! Cupadraig~The Remote Country: I find the Irish tongue fascinating. The name GraÃocht gave me, as Anne of Green Gables would say, "a thrill!". I didn't realize that a Pooka or pouque were a type of fairy until your story, Peace in the Valley, prompted me to look it up. You showed GraÃocht's impatience well, throughout the story. Schnujo's Giving Away GPs: The Impatient Fairy made me chuckle. You did an excellent job making it a rhyming story. The line: "She whines and shouts and sniffs and pouts, and puffs out her little chest." totally makes me think of my kids, when they're impatient and want their own way! Your story had a great moral. Being slightly, ahem, impatient myself, this was a good reminder to "choose to be calm and patient". Quest-YELLOW-Thanks Schnujo: I love how Ezra is too impatient to hear out a person's complete wish, in Rubina and the Goldlocks. I chuckled when the baker bemoans the fact that he wanted a bigger shop in London. Ah, impatient fairies! Gotta love how they try! I also grinned when Rubina went home and found that pair of ballet slippers. Be careful what you wish for! dragonwoman Patient Search was a sweet romance. I kind-of saw the end coming, however, it was still enjoyable watching it play out. I loved (pun intended) how Alice goes from adamantly not needing a "...namby pamby man to help me rule..." to falling in love. And the end...my imagination spins as I wonder if Alice and Dolly's children will one day fall in love... With only 4 entries, only 1st place will be awarded. However, this time 'round, I also have an honorable mention: |
