Kindness for Kiya

I just cried when I read about your situation, not only with sadness but with anger at the treatment you've had to endure. You came to help your sister in her time of need. You've done everything right and became an amazing part of the new country you came to. You've contributed, you've been an upstanding citizen, probably better than some who are born there. Now, because of a decision made a long way away in a place where people have no idea what it's like to be in your position, people have made a decision on a piece of paper, and because of this your life is turned upside down and not only that but you're treated as a criminal. It all sounds so cruel to me.
