I tend to just say that I'm "not an emotional sort". Seems as good a descriptor as any. I have to keep reminding myself that feelings matter more to other people than they do to me... but their feelings are valid and important to them and whatnot. It's exhausting sometimes. I'm super happy that my husband is pretty much unemotional too. He's sensitive about comments about him from ME, but otherwise, not so much.
I know what you mean about the endless kid pics on FB. I try to post pics here and there for my mum, aunts, cousins, etc... family. But it's not my default. I rarely even think to take pictures of any of us. I'm not a "let me watch this through my camera" person... isn't it better to experience something fully than to get a picture of it?
My sister-in-law totally interrupts amazing moments to instruct her kids to make themselves look perfect and smile... apparently, what's actually happening is cool but isn't Instagram-worthy? Weird af.
