We were actually going over Hofstede's this week too. The people who talk too much are more annoying to me than a totally quiet class because I at least have some level of control over that. I can interact when need be to move things along and not be held back by other people. Like the two you described... that shit drives me crazy. It's already difficult to pay attention without having people need to comment stupid shit on every topic. Usually they're not right at all so it's super awkward in the first place. I hate when they argue with the professor because they're just positive the professor who has been teaching and researching this subject for 22 years is wrong. I've suggested to my classmates to utilize office hours when we're in a lecture and they're incessantly derailing everything. Like, "Hey bud, you know the prof's office hours are right after this class, right? Why don't you stop in there when we're done here so you can discuss this further."
