I actually know people who still believe 100% one way or the other on nature vs. nurture. In fact, I had a psychologist a year and a half ago that believed nurture was the only factor in mental health issues. She was very anti-medication because she didn't treat on the basis of any sort of chemical imbalance!
It's good that you practice some of those holistic things like meditation and exercise. I do think both medication and self-care are the best combination.
