If you end up having surgery, check with your doctor first, but mine recommended the max Tylenol (it doesn't make you bleed like other things do) 3 days straight before the surgery. He said if you stop the pain receptors before they get started, it will never hurt as bad as it could have. I was serious and even took the Tylenol in the middle of the night when I got up to use the bathroom. He told me the surgery (I was having 5 things done at once) would be 10 days of H*** afterward, but it was more like 5 days of suck, so I think the Tylenol works.
