I don't think so. I've done that as well, but in particular for you, I've seen your stories start slow and then really take off a scene or two in. It's like you need a warm-up. And when you cut the warm-up, your story seems to start in the perfect place. It's like some kind of magic.
With me, I either can't make up my mind where to start, or I scope creep, thinking, wait, no, I need to start earlier so things are more clear. Then I change my mind again, lol.
